Another photo from the Nasets. Here, an osprey
guards its nest, built on top of a pier.

Chuck Koch spotted this Red-tailed Hawk that
flew over him just below Indian Gardens on the
Bright Angel Trail in the Grand Canyon.

Kevin's Grandmother, Kate Peot, works on a
bird-themed jigsaw puzzle.
There were several Muscovy ducks living near
Grandma Peot's house.
When they met Kevin, they kept coming over to
visit, looking for a treat.
Kevin called these two Shirley and Bravey.

the pier.

We visited Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, home to
wood storks, wading birds of all types, panthers,
bears, deer, and alligators.
The boardwalk stretched over two miles through
five different environments, including swamps.
A pileated woodpecker greeted us as soon as we
arrived.
Several black vultures were nearby.
Looks like a downy woodpecker.
This red-shouldered hawk sat and posed for
everyone to take a picture.

An egret wades with a young white ibis, who is
still mostly brown.
Kevin really enjoyed his visit to Corkscrew. He got
a great hat as a souvenir.

An owl visited Kevin's class at Maplebrook school.
