MM Foundation Golf Outing in Oak Brook, IL,
on July 13, 2007, by Chuck.

Charlie and Kate took this picture
of a sea gull in San Diego. It could be a ring-billed
gull, a mew gull, or a herring gull.
This cedar waxwing was spotted by Kevin and his
Dad in their yard at the tip-top of an elm tree.
A California brown pelican on the beach. Brown
pelicans were once nearly extinct, but have made a
comeback.
The gulls nearby are not impressed.
Kevin's spotting scope provided a super close-up
view of this cardinal.

This bird is called a Muscovy Duck.  It is larger than a
regular duck and its head kind of looks like a turkey's.  
These ducks are native to Mexico, but Kathleen saw it
in St. Louis!
This lady duck made a little nest in a flower pot
outside of Rosebud Restaurant in downtown

Back at the Naperville Riverwalk, this mother duck
rests on a log, while her duckling gets some shade

This male cardinal watches over the back yard from

Kevin and his Dad saw a lot of red-winged blackbirds
at Whalon Lake Forest Preserve on July 22nd.
Most were in the wetlands area, but this one visited
the picnic area.
