Charlie & Kate found a number of birds by their Seattle home.
This could be a Brewer's sparrow.
A Northern Flicker at the feeder.
An Oregon junco, with black hood and brown back.

This appears to be a juvenile Glaucous Gull.

Speaking of Seattle, Kevin loved visiting Pike Place Market.
Their friend, Marina, contributed these photos of a Western Scrub-jay.
Kevin and his Dad went for a November hike at Greene Valley Forest Preserve in Naperville.
Kevin navigated which path to take. The area is known for hawks.
Here is another view of this red-tailed hawk.
A robin is easy to spot in the leafless trees.
A few cardinals were visible, their bright red color making them stand out in the gray trees and bushes.
A chickadee was first heard, and then seen in this tree.
Juncos foraged on the ground for food.
Several deer were seen on the hike. One was amazingly big.
